Domain Checker

iWebSeoTool Domain Checker: The iwebseotool.com domain checker lets you check a domain name for availability, DNS and WHOIS details, with no sign-up.

Enter a full domain like example.com. This checks DNS and WHOIS records. Availability is indicative only — confirm with a registrar before buying.

How to use it

  1. Enter a full domain name, such as example.com, with no spaces.
  2. Click Check Domain and wait for the DNS and WHOIS lookup to finish.
  3. Read the likely status, DNS result, IP address, registrar and created date.
  4. If the result says likely available, confirm it with a registrar before you try to buy it.

What it checks

  • Domain: the name you entered, shown exactly as checked.
  • Likely status: whether the domain looks registered or likely available. This is indicative only, not a guarantee.
  • Resolves (DNS): whether the domain points to an IP address, which usually means a website or service is set up for it.
  • IP address: the address the domain resolves to, when it resolves.
  • Registrar and Created: the company the domain is registered with and the date it was created, when WHOIS data is available for that ending.
  • Supported WHOIS endings: .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, .in, .info, .biz, .me and .us. For other endings the result may use DNS only.

Why check a domain before you choose a name

A domain name search saves you from building a brand around a name that is already taken. A quick domain availability checker also shows whether a name resolves to a website already, so you can shortlist names that are free and move on to a registrar to confirm.

Check a domain, then check its speed

Use this tool whenever you are choosing a name for a new site. Once the site is live, try the Website Speed Checker to see how its pages fetch, or return to the iWebSeoTool home page to see the other tools on the site.

Enter a full domain, such as example.com, and choose Check Domain. The tool checks DNS and WHOIS information and shows the domain, its likely status, whether it resolves, its IP address, registrar and creation date when that information is returned. Availability shown here is a likely result, not a purchase.

No. “Likely available” is only an indication from the DNS and WHOIS information the tool could see at that moment. A domain can be registered, reserved or in the process of changing hands even when it looks free here, so always confirm with a registrar before you try to buy it.

The tool shows the check result on the page after you enter a domain and choose Check Domain. You do not need an account to run a check. The page does not say it saves your search, and you should still avoid entering a domain you do not want to share publicly.

Resolves means the domain name can be looked up in DNS and points to an IP address. If a domain resolves, it is set up on the internet in some way. If it does not resolve, it has no working DNS address, even though it could still be registered.

A registered domain does not have to show a website. It may be parked, used for email only, or simply not set up yet. In that case the tool may still show it as registered, with a registrar and creation date when WHOIS returns them, even if it does not resolve to a website.

WHOIS is the public record for a domain name. When it is available, it can show the registrar, when the domain was created, and whether a matching registration was found. The iWebSeoTool Domain Checker shows registrar and creation date only when WHOIS returns them.

The tool supports WHOIS checks for .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, .in, .info, .biz, .me and .us. For other endings, the result may use DNS only, so do not assume a WHOIS record was checked for an ending that is not in that list.
