Agent Readiness Checker

Agent Readiness Checker

Our free agent readiness checker tests whether your website is ready for AI agents and AI crawlers. As the agentic web grows, sites that are easy for machines to read — with clear permissions, summaries and structured data — are far more likely to be understood and used by AI tools.

Enter a website URL. Our server checks the machine-readable basics AI agents and AI crawlers rely on: an llms.txt file, whether robots.txt lets AI crawlers in, a reachable sitemap, valid structured data, semantic HTML and indexable pages. This is a basic fetch check of public files and page code — it does not run an AI agent on your site.

How to use the Agent Readiness Checker

Enter the full URL of the website you want to test, then run the check. The tool fetches the page and its public files from our server and reports each result, including whether an llms.txt file exists, whether AI crawlers are allowed, and whether the sitemap, structured data and other machine-readable basics are in place. Fix any gaps it finds and re-test to confirm the improvement.

What does AI agent readiness involve?

True AI agent readiness starts with a machine-readable website: clean semantic HTML, a canonical URL, no accidental noindex tag, and a feed that machines can follow. Our llms.txt checker looks for a plain-text summary file that introduces your site to AI tools, while the robots.txt for AI check reads your robots file to see whether AI crawler access is blocked for crawlers such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot or CCBot. Valid structured data then gives those systems a clear, trustworthy picture of each page. Allowing or blocking AI crawlers is your choice — this tool simply shows the current setting so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

No. It fetches your page and its public files (robots.txt, sitemap, llms.txt) from our server and checks them. It does not browse your site like a person, fill in forms or place orders.

Yes, the Agent Readiness Checker on iWebSeoTool is free to use, with no sign-up.

That is each site owner’s choice — some sites prefer to block AI training crawlers. This tool simply reports the current setting so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

It means your website gives AI agents and AI crawlers the machine-readable basics they need to read and use it: permission to visit in robots.txt, an llms.txt summary file, a sitemap, valid structured data and clean semantic HTML.

As well as llms.txt and robots.txt, it checks that your sitemap is reachable, that your structured data is valid JSON-LD, that the page uses semantic HTML, that a canonical URL is set, that the page is not marked noindex, and that a feed is advertised for machines.

llms.txt is a plain-text file placed at yoursite.com/llms.txt that summarises your website — who you are, your main pages and links — in a format AI tools can read quickly. It is a proposal that more sites are adopting; this checker tests whether the file exists and returns real text.

robots.txt is where a site tells crawlers what they may visit. If it blocks AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot or CCBot, those systems may not read your content at all. This checker reads your robots.txt and reports whether any of them are blocked from the whole site.
